Amirah El-Haddad is a Senior Researcher in the Department of Transformation of Economic and Social Systems at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), and Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. Her research focuses on industrial organisation, industrial policy, political economy, gender wage equality, and informality. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. El-Haddad is an ERF Research Fellow.
