Dr. Zina Nimeh is an Associate Professor of Public Policy at UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University. She is an accomplished professional with over two decades of education and research expertise in public policy, social protection, public sector reform, and governance. Her teaching and research initiatives are driven by a holistic approach aimed at understanding the underlying critical issues of social injustice, poverty and inequality. Dr. Nimeh is a trusted expert in designing and implementing public policies in the areas of social protection and development that aim to alleviate poverty, tackle the root causes of social and economic disparities, and strengthen inclusive development. By applying a multidisciplinary approach to her work, she actively contributes to research and policy dialogue on social protection, poverty and inequality, and engages in advocacy efforts, striving to create awareness and influence decision-makers to prioritize these critical issues.
