Serena Canaan is an associate professor of economics at Simon Fraser University. She is an applied microeconomist with research interests in labor, education and family economics. The broad goal of her research is to understand how individuals’ life outcomes are influenced by their educational choices and experiences, as well as the role of government policy in shaping their learning and family environments.
