Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL)

Razan Amine is currently a Research Manager at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) where she manages a series of projects (Dream A Dream, Firms Relocation, PAD, Early Childhood Education and Development). Razan has an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and a STEM MA in International Economics and Finance, as a Fulbright Scholar, from John Hopkins University. She has a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut. Razan launched her scalable educational campaign “Building Mindsets” for Syrian Refugees in Lebanon in 2018. Her research interests lie in understanding the micro foundations of scalable projects and is mostly interested in issues related to the roles/causal impacts of migration, equality and remittances on sustainable growth generation and poverty alleviation, development, and structural transformation. She also is interested in exploring best econometrics methods to answer these questions.
