Rami Galal
Economist, The World Bank
Rami Galal is an Economist at the World Bank, working in the South Asia regional unit of the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice. Prior to joining the World Bank, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the American University in Cairo where he taught courses in Economic Development, Microeconomics, and the Economics of the Middle East. He also held positions at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. He received my PhD in Economics from University of London (SOAS) and holds an MA in Economics from the American University in Cairo, and a BSc in Economics and Philosophy from Boston University.
