Maia Sieverding

Assistant Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences, American University of Beirut

Dr. Maia Sieverding is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the American University of Beirut. Her research centers around women’s empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, marriage and fertility among conflict-affected populations in the Middle East and North Africa region. She has extensive experience in program evaluation, with specific expertise in the evaluation of gender-based interventions. She obtained her Ph.D. in Sociology and Demography from the University of California Berkeley.
