Juan Jose Cortina Lorente
Juan J. Cortina is a Research Analyst in the Macroeconomics and Growth Team of the Development Research Group. Upon joining the Bank in July, 2013, he worked on topics relating to emerging markets finance, global financial markets, and financial development. He is the co-author of the chapter on the role of Global Financial Markets in the provision of long-term finance of the Global Financial Development Report 2015. Prior to joining the Bank, he has worked as a Research Fellow at the Complutense University of Madrid. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the Barcelona GSE (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and a B.A. with honors from the Complutense University of Madrid.
