Dizem Ertac-Varoglu is an economist with over 15 years of experience in teaching and researching in the fields of applied economics, economic modeling, macroeconomics and economic development. She specializes in constructing databases such as Social Accounting Matrices (SAM) and building general equilibrium models, as well as conducting research on emerging economies. She has a particular interest in policy-oriented research, specifically on environmental and energy policies. She holds a PhD in applied economics from the Free University of Brussels.
