Caglar Yunculer is currently a Ph.D. candidate at TOBB Economy and Technology University in Ankara, Turkey, and is expect to receive a Ph.D. degree by the end of 2025. He received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University in 2006 and an Msc in Economics from London School of Economics in 2012. He has extensive work experience in both public and private institutions. Yunculer worked at the Research and Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Turkey (CBRT) for 15 years, first as an economist and then as Deputy Executive Director, before joining Akbank, one of the largest private banks in Turkey, as Vice President of the Economic Research Department. During his time at the CBRT, he conducted several academic works and published papers in SSCI journals, mainly focusing on the Turkish economy. In his PhD thesis, he focuses on labour markets in Turkey and investigate the impact of public policies such as minimum wage and labour subsidies on employment and other labour market indicators using microeconometric methods.
