Ayça Tekin-Koru

Ayça Tekin-Koru received her BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from Middle East Technical University in 1994 and 1997, and her PhD in Economics from Purdue University in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, she taught at Krannert Graduate School of Management, and then served as a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Oregon State University until 2011. She conducted research at TurkStat from 2011 to 2012, funded by TUBITAK. From 2012 to 2016, Tekin-Koru was the founding chair of the Business Administration Department at TED University. Her teaching has covered international economics, political economy of globalization, game theory, microeconomics, and the economics of social issues. Her research has evolved from the organizational form of multinationals and economic integration to empirical studies on services trade, firm productivity, and the intersection of disaster management and sustainability. Her work is published in journals such as European Economic Review, Review of International Economics, World Economy, Economic Systems, Journal of International Trade and Development, International Migration and Applied Economics. She is currently a faculty member, director of the Trade Research Center, and dean of the Graduate School at TED University.
