Dr. Shahen is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at the College of Business, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He specializes in economic development, digital economics, applied econometrics, and entrepreneurship. Prior to this role, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Economics at Alexandria University's Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science in Egypt. Additionally, he served as a Consultant for Economic Policy and Digital Transformation at the Egyptian Cabinet of Ministers (IDSC) in Cairo, Egypt. His contributions to the field are highlighted by numerous publications in international journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. Dr. Shahen has developed an extensive array of reports, policy papers, and research projects for several universities and international organizations.
