Shakiba Kheirkhahan holds an M.Sc. in Economics and a B.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Tehran. Her research examines poverty and intra-household dynamics, with a particular focus on how U.S. sanctions have shaped the welfare trajectories of Iranian households. She uses advanced quantitative tools—especially synthetic panel methods and large-scale household survey data—to analyze poverty dynamics over time. Her previous work includes studies on household energy consumption, tourism demand forecasting, and multivariate statistical modeling. She is proficient in R and Python and was recognized as the top student of her M.Sc. cohort.
