Sadegh Hossein Zadeh holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and Planning from the University of Tehran, where he graduated as the top-ranked student in his cohort. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Razi University. His master’s thesis, “Micro-Level Estimation of Poverty in Iran,” focused on measuring poverty at the county level by integrating household survey and census microdata, with an emphasis on improving the precision of estimates in data-scarce regions. His research interests lie at the intersection of poverty and development economics, with a particular focus on Iran and MENA region.
