Siham Matallah is an associate professor of economics at the University of Oran 2 in Algeria and a research fellow at the Economic Research Forum in Egypt; she received her M.S. and PhD in economics from the University of Tlemcen in 2013 and 2017, respectively. Her extensive experience in undergraduate education spans a variety of academic courses. Dr. Matallah is equally dedicated to her research endeavors, boasting an impressive portfolio of published articles in esteemed peer-reviewed international journals. Her research interests encompass a broad spectrum, including energy security, renewable energy development, governance and development issues, and geopolitical tensions. Throughout her academic journey, Dr. MATALLAH has secured several travel grants from prestigious organizations like the Economic Research Forum (ERF), the World Bank, UN-ESCWA, Chatham House, the Hillary Clinton Center for Women’s Empowerment, and the Doha Institute.
