In this paper, we will investigate the role of the new digital technologies in the Lebanese economy. The following section will present an overview of the economy, especially the post-war business cycle and the rise of a low productivity economy. Section three delineates the different aspects of the new technologies in Lebanon, including the current state of start-ups, Fintech, e-government, and e-commerce. Section four presents labor market effects. Section five investigates the potential effects on inequality, including gender inequality. Section six presents prospects and policy recommendations.
