The Dynamics of Poverty and Inequality in an Era of Economic Liberalization: The Case of Egypt

This project studied the impact of growth on poverty and inequality in Egypt. More concretely, it examined in detail the effectof growth on poverty and income distribution changes between 1988 and 2006, analyzing the dynamics of moving in and out of poverty and inequality, and identifying the determinants of chronic and transitory poverty over this period and the determinants of moving between and within income groups.
