Zafiris Tzannatos

Senior Fellow, Jordan Strategy Forum, Amman and Lebanese Center for Policy Studies, Beirut

Zafiris Tzannatos is an economist Senior Fellow at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies in Beirut, and the Jordan Strategy Forum in Amman where he currently lives. He has been Professor and Chair of the Economics Department at the American University of Beirut having previously held senior academic and research positions in Europe. He has been Advisor to Managing Director as well as Manager for the MENA region at the World Bank in Washington DC, and also Senior Advisor for the ILO, UNDP and other international and regional organizations and governments. His current research is on development strategy, labor, education, skills development, gender child labor and broader macro and social policy, focusing on the Arab region and the EuroMed.
