Yevgeniya Korniyenko

Senior Economist, Middle East and Central Asia Department, IMF

Ms. Yevgeniya Korniyenko is a Senior Economist for Egypt in the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the IMF. Prior to her tenure on Egypt, she was the Lead Economist on the United Arab Emirates. At the Fund, she also worked in the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department, as well as the Statistics Department. Before joining the Fund, she held positions in the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of England, the Office of the Chief Economist at the EBRD, and the National Bank of Ukraine. Her primary research interests include international finance, trade, and big data. Yevgeniya holds an MPA in Economic and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from Kyiv National Taras Schevchenko University.
