Yevgeniya Korniyenko

Senior Economist, Middle East and Central Asia Department, IMF

Ms. Yevgeniya Korniyenko is a Senior Economist in the IMF’s Middle East and Central Asia Department. Prior to her tenure on the United Arab Emirates desk, she was a Senior Economist in the Strategy, Policy & Review Department of the IMF, working on advanced economies and external sector issues; and a Project Manager at the IMF’s Statistics Department. Prior to joining the Fund, she was an Economist in the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of England; a Senior Analyst at the Office of the Chief Economist at the EBRD; and a Manager of the Balance of Payments Methodology, Analysis and Forecasting Division at the National Bank of Ukraine. Her main research interests are in international finance and trade. Yevgeniya holds an MPA in Economic and Public Policy from London School Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from Kyiv National Taras Schevchenko University.
