Chief Technical Advisor, ILO’s ADWA’ Project

Valentine Offenloch is the Chief Technical Advisor of the ILO’s ADWA’ Project – Advancing the Decent Work Agenda in North Africa. She holds a BA International Relations and Politics from the University of Essex, United Kingdom and a MA Comparative and International Studies from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland. After holding a series of research and teaching positions, she started working for the ILO in 2009 at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Since then she has worked extensively on issues such as child labour, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, occupational safety and health, including for the most vulnerable workers, as well as employment and international labour standards. Previously her geographical focus of work was Asia and more recently, since 2020, she is focusing on North Africa.
