Ünal Töngür

Ünal Töngür is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Akdeniz University (Antalya, Turkey). He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 2000 from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science. He completed his MSc in 2006, and received his PhD in 2015 from the Department of Economics at the Middle East Technical University. His PhD dissertation focused on patterns of firm growth in the Turkish manufacturing industry. He was involved in a number of research projects in which he worked with large and complex databases at the firm-level. His main areas of interest include applied econometrics, industrial economics, evolutionary economics, firm dynamics, technology and innovation, growth, defence and peace economics.
