Suzanna Khalifa

Assistant Professor of Economics, Sciences Po

Suzanna Khalifa is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Sciences Po. Her research focuses on labor-market dynamics, marriage markets, and gender-based violence in developing economies. She studies how social norms and institutions shape women’s employment, men’s preferences in union formation, and the broader constraints that limit economic opportunities across the MENA region. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Aix-Marseille School of Economics and was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University. Her work combines rigorous field experiments and quantitative analysis in collaboration with NGOs and international research networks to inform policy on gender and development.
