Mrs. Somaia Khalid Elkhair Omer is the Director/ Research and Planning Sector at the Central Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Cabinet, Sudan. She has an extensive experience in all stages of fourth population census in 1993 and all stages in fifth population census in 2008. She has been the Director of MICS 6 survey, 2019-2023 and MICS 2014 - Household Budget and Poverty Survey, 2014. She was also Sudan's NSDS Coordinator. She has contributed to both national and international reports.
