Serdar Özgür

Banking Supervisor, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye

Serdar Özgür is a banking supervisor at the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye (BRSA). He has led major risk-based supervisory missions across the financial sector, contributing to Basel regulation implementation, the transition to Basel IV, and international policy initiatives including the IMF FSAP and the BIS AML/CFT Expert Group. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in Banking at Marmara University and a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Essex, specialising in financial stability, systemic and liquidity risks, and climate-related financial risks.
