Şenay Üçdoğruk Birecikli has been working at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Econometrics since 1986. In 1990, she completed her doctorate in the Department of Econometrics at the Social Sciences Institute of the same university. She has articles on the housing market in Turkey, Internal migration to Istanbul, saving preferences of Turkish households, econometric analysis of liquid and farm milk demand in Turkey, overtime in the private sector in Turkey, measurement of overeducation of individuals in the Turkish labor market, economic and demographic determinants of household energy use in Turkey, the effects of education on income in Turkey, regional analysis of youth not in employment, education, or training (NEET) in Turkey, effect of tenants' housing cost burden on household economic difficulties in Turkey. These appeared in journals such as Economic Insights - Trends and Challenges, Insan and Insan Journal of Science, Finans Politik & Ekonomik Yorumlar, Food Quality and Preference, International Journal on Working Conditions, Sosyoekonomi, Energy Policy, Hacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Ege Academic Bakıs Journal, International Journal of Contemporary Economics and Administrative Sciences.
