PhD Candidate in Economics, London School of Economics (LSE)
Sarah Winton is a PhD candidate in economics at the London School of Economics (LSE). Her research interests lie at the intersection of development, labor, and urban/spatial economics. Combining primary data collection, field experiments, and structural general-equilibrium models, she studies how migration and forced displacement reshape livelihoods and labor markets. Her work is predominantly based in the Middle East. For the 2026-2027 academic year, she will be the International Economics and Global Security Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth College. In 2027, Sarah will join Stockholm University as an Assistant Professor of Economics.
