Obbey Ahmed Elamin
Assistant Professor in Econometrics, The King Faisal University
Obbey Elamin is an assistant professor in Econometrics at King Faisal University (KFU) in Saudi Arabia. He holds a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Econometrics from the University of Manchester in the UK. Dr Elamin worked in many universities in the Middle East and the UK before joining KFU, including the University of Khartoum, the University of Manchester, the University of Stirling, and the British University in Egypt. He is also a member of the Royal Economics Society in the UK and the Scottish Economics Society. He has published many papers in world-class journals such as Econometric Reviews and Education Economics His research interests are applied micro-econometrics, prefers machine learning, nonparametric and semi-parametric, treatment effects and policy evaluation methods, and applies them in the fields of labour and educational economics. Obbey joined the ERF as a Research Associate in 2018.
