Maria Eugenia Genoni is a Senior Economist at the Poverty and Equity Global Practice. At the Bank, she has contributed to operational and analytical engagements across South Asia, Latin America and MENA regions. Her areas of expertise include poverty measurement and survey design, statistical capacity building, and analytics related to poverty, inequality and economic mobility. Before joining the World Bank, Maria worked at the Research Department at the Inter-American Development Bank and the Ministry of Finance of the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She holds a PhD in Economics from Duke University.
