Kosar Yousefi

Associate Professor of Economics, Institute for Management and Planning Studies and an Adjunct Professor, Sharif University

Kosar Yousefi is an associate professor of economics at the Institute for Management and Planning Studies and an adjunct professor at Sharif University in Tehran, Iran. I am also a fellow graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (class of 2012), a former post-doctoral researcher at Northwestern University, and a former consultant at the World Bank. My bachelor's degrees are in Electrical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from the Sharif University. In the last ten years in Iran, I have supervised many Iranian students, referred them for further education in international schools, and taught macroeconomics and econometrics at IMPS, Sharif University, and the University of Tehran. My research has been published in various journals, including the Journal of Health Economics, the World Bank Economic Review, the Journal of Economics Studies, Social Politics, and the Middle East Development Journal. Recently, I have focused on two lines of research: trade and the gender gap, emphasizing trends in the Middle East.
