Visiting Professor of Finance, Management Department School of Business, American University in Cairo (AUC)

Dr. Jasmin Fouad is currently a visiting Professor of Finance at the Management Department School of Business, American University in Cairo (AUC). At AUC she served as the director of the Master of Science in Finance Program from 2019-2022. Prior to her return to AUC she was the head of the women’s unit and the coordinator of the Professional Master of Gender and Development at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She has a more than thirty years of teaching career behind her, where she taught at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and the American University in Cairo. She teaches courses in Economics, Finance and Gender at the undergraduate and graduate level. She has worked as the director of the center for Economic and Financial Research and Studies, advisor to the Chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority, and as Economic advisor to the Chairman of the National Postal Office. She was also Cairo University’s Coordinator on the national strategy of anti-corruption, member of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and member of the Economic Committee and the Economic and Political Committee of the Ministry of Culture. Currently she is a member of the gender equality unit at the Ministry of Manpower. She has organized national and international conferences and published nationally and internationally works and articles on Corporate Social Responsibility, Microfinance, Public Banks, the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Foreign Direct Investment, Financial Regulation, Central Bank independence, Mergers and Acquisitions, Family Planning and Gender Responsive Budgeting.
