İlkay Şendeniz-Yüncü

Associate Professor of Finance, Department of Business Administration, Middle East Technical University

Dr. İlkay Şendeniz-Yüncü is an Associate Professor of Finance at Middle East Technical University, Department of Business Administration. She received her PhD in Finance from Bilkent University and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, and Tilburg University. She obtained BSc and MSc degrees in Civil Engineering as well as an MBA from Middle East Technical University. Before joining METU, she worked as an Assistant Professor of Finance at IÉSEG School of Management and MEF University, and as a lecturer at Tilburg University and Bilkent University. Her research focuses on banking, financial markets, financial economics, sustainability, and the finance-growth nexus. She has published in international peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Finance Research Letters, Research in International Business and Finance, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Applied Economics, and in edited volumes published by World Scientific Publishing, Palgrave Macmillan, and Springer. She teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has been the thesis supervisor for several PhD and Masters students.
