Dr. Habib Ouni is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Higher Colleges of Technology, Al Ain campus, Abu Dhabi. He earned his PhD in Economics in 2012 from the University of Bordeaux Montesquieu in France. His doctoral dissertation examined the performance of newly privatized firms with a particular focus on corporate governance structures. Dr. Ouni’s research interests span a range of topics in economics, including financial and operational performance, economic growth and development, international economics, renewable energy economics, and the economic impact of remittances. His work reflects a strong commitment to analyzing contemporary economic challenges in both emerging and developed economies.
