Fatima El Khatabi is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain, and the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany (it is a jointly supervised Ph.D.). In 2020, the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid awarded her a Research and teaching fellowship (FPI-UAM), and she joined the Department of Economic Analysis. Her main research topics are international and interregional trade for Spain, the EU, and the MENA region, development economics, territorial and sectoral impact analysis, economic geography, and migration. She holds a Master’s in International Economics (2018) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (2017).
