Fatih Mangir

Prof. Dr. Fatih Mangır is an academic working in the fields of economics, international trade, and finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Selçuk University and completed his postdoctoral research in economics at the University of Baltimore. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Middle East Technical University. His Ph.D. thesis, focusing on international capital flows in developing countries, was awarded the Best Thesis Award by TÜGİAD. His research on national sovereignty also received the Best Research Award from the Association of Academic Research in Turkey. He currently serves as a faculty member at Selçuk University. He previously served as the Chair of the Department of International Trade and Finance and Dean of the Faculty of Management, and also held the position of Rector’s Advisor at the same institution. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Prof. Dr. Mangır is a Board Member of the Association for Human Rights Education and a member of the Turkish Football Federation. He has contributed to the development of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in international trade and finance. He teaches courses such as Advanced Trade Theory and Policy, Forecasting and Machine Learning, and International Trade. His research interests include international capital flows, the macroeconomic effects of financial crises, digital banking, and e-commerce. He has published articles in journals indexed in SCI, SSCI, and Arts & Humanities Citation Indexes, and has authored books on international trade dynamics, global financial crises, and capital mobility. Prof. Dr. Mangır has supervised a number of graduate theses and research projects focusing on financial liberalization, economic growth, and investment forecasting using artificial intelligence. He is also involved in the SHAPE-SSC (Strengthening Higher Education Capacity for Applied and Practice-Oriented Sustainable Supply Chain) project, which has been to the European Union Erasmus+ Programme.
