Erol Taymaz

Erol Taymaz is a Professor of Economics at Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey). He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (METU) in 1982, received his M.S. degree in Economics at METU (1985), and Ph.D. degree in Economics at Case Western Reserve University, USA (1989). He participated in various research projects supported by TUBITAK, TTGV, FEMISE, ERF, KDI, IDRC, Eurofund, ILO, UNDP, the World Bank and the EU. His current research interests include economics of technology and innovation, industrial, technology and innovation policy, industrial dynamics, firm demography, small business economics, economics of labor markets, microsimulation modelling, and data science.
