Associate Professor of Economics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Daniela Maggioni is an associate professor of Economics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from the Marche Polytechnic University in 2010. She has worked as a research fellow at the Marche Polytechnic University, an assistant professor at the University of Catania, and later as associate professor at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her research focuses on international economics and the empirical study of industrial dynamics. In particular, she has worked on: the effects of trade on productivity, innovation and the labor market, determinants of trade, spillovers from MNEs on the evolution of local production structure and energy efficiency, effects of migration on the labor market and production specialization. Recently, she has studied the effects of automation on firms’ production.
