Anfal Adawi

Assistant Professor of Economics, Lebanese American University

Anfal Adawi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lebanese American University. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Economics and an M.A. in Economics from York University. Her research interests include health economics, the economics of aging, public economics, human development, and behavioral economics. Her research focuses on understanding how major life transitions and public policies affect individual health and well-being, with a particular interest in retirement and later-life outcomes. Her current work examines the effects of retirement on life satisfaction and health, with the aim of generating evidence that can inform policies promoting well-being across the life course. In addition to her research, she teaches courses in microeconomics, econometrics, behavioral economics, and health economics and supervise graduate research in applied economics.
