Abdullah Tirgil

Dr. Abdullah Tirgil holds the position of Associate Professor within the Department of Economics at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, where he has been a faculty member since 2017. His research interests encompass health economics, public finance, labor economics, and applied econometrics. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Northeastern University in 2016, subsequent to earning Master's degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Western Illinois University in 2011 and 2010, respectively. His undergraduate education was completed in Management Information Systems at Boğaziçi University in 2008. Dr. Tirgil’s scholarly output has been published in numerous international journals, including the Journal of Public Health Policy, Criminal Behaviour and Mental Health, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, BMJ Global Health, and Journal of Global Health. Additionally, he has contributed to several scholarly books and has presented his research at various international conferences.
