Abdullah Altun

Abdullah Altun received his Ph.D. degree in 2017 from the Gebze Technical University, Turkey. He is a full-time assistant professor in Economics at the Gebze Technical University, Turkey. His primary research interest is international trade and economic growth. In his studies, he mainly focuses on the macroeconomic impacts of Global Value Chains (GVCs). He was visiting scholar at the Faculty of Technology Management and Technopreneurship of the Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTEM), Malaysia, and at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Warsaw, Poland. Before his full-time academic career, he was working as a Senior Specialist in Informatics and Information Security Research Center at The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
