H.E. Dr. Fadi Makki
Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Lebanon
Dr. Fadi Makki is Lebanon’s Minister of State for Administrative Reform. An economist and pioneer of behavioral economics in the Middle East, he founded Nudge Lebanon and previously led the Behavioural Insights Unit at the organization committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He has served as Director General at the Ministry of Economy and Trade, advised governments and international organizations, and worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, Cisco, and as Partner and Director at the Boston Consulting Group. He also held academic roles at leading universities. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge; graduate degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Hull; and BAs from AUB and the Lebanese University. He was named among the world’s 50 most influential individuals navigating disruption (Agile 50) by the World Economic Forum and Apolitical. He served as co-chair of the WHO’s Technical Advisory Group on Behavioral Insights for Health and was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Future Council for Behavioral Science.
