Işıl Sevilay Yılmaz

Dr. Işıl Sevilay Yılmaz received her BSc in Economics, a minor degree in City and Regional Planning, and an MBA degree from Middle East Technical University. After graduation, she worked at the Tax and Legal Services Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers İstanbul Office and received the title of Certified Public Accountant in 2005. After 2005, she worked in various private sector companies as a financial consultant. In 2016, she received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Bilkent University with her thesis titled "Mergers and Acquisitions during Financial Crises". During her graduate studies, she worked as a teaching assistant for courses such as corporate finance, capital markets, and institutions, and also taught international finance. She has been working at TED University since February 2017. She has taught various courses in corporate finance, financial management, investment analysis, financial accounting, managerial accounting and research methods at different levels. Her research interests include crowdfunding, corporate finance, sustainability, ESG, mergers and acquisitions, and financial crises.
