Senior Researcher, Research Centre in Applied Economics for Development (CREAD)

Maya Gheroufella is a Senior Researcher at the Research Centre in Applied Economics for Development (CREAD) in Algeria, she obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Statistics from the National School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ENSSEA – Algeria) in 2021. As a member of CREAD’s Labour Economics and Social Protection team, her research explores the expansion of social protection systems, with a particular focus on pension coverage for informal workers and on individual preferences and decision-making in the labor market. She has been involved in numerous research projects and studies.
