Associate Professor of Political Science at the National Centre of Social and Criminological Research, Egypt. She earned her PhD in Political Development Theory from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University in 2019. She has worked as an adjunct lecturer in the Political Science Department at the Faculty of Economics and at Future University. With 25 years of extensive experience in development, she has served as a national consultant for numerous international organisations, including the ILO, UNDP, and the British Council. She has authored many studies and academic articles on the social and solidarity economy and the role of cooperatives in empowering rural women economically. She has also published numerous studies on financial inclusion, social justice, poverty, child labour, social and solidarity economy, and learning poverty.
