Dr. Yasir Küçükşahin is an academic at Harran University, serving in the Department of Economics since 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Istanbul Medeniyet University in 2024 with a dissertation titled "Empirical Findings on Factors Affecting Financial Fragility of Companies". Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed his Master’s degree in Islamic Finance at INCEIF University in Malaysia (2015) and his B.A. in Economics at Ihsan Doğramacı Bilkent University (2013), graduating with high honors. Throughout his career as a Research Assistant, Dr. Küçükşahin has focused on economic analysis and modeling. His primary research interests include financial economics, economic development, Islamic finance, and econometrics. He has contributed to the academic field with publications in reputable journals, including Borsa İstanbul Review, where his work on the "Impact of Geopolitical Risk on Firm Financial Fragility" was accepted for publication. Additionally, he has published research in Ekonomik Yaklasim and Finans Politik & Ekonomik Yorumlar, addressing topics such as logistics infrastructure and the effects of financialization on the manufacturing industry. Dr. Küçükşahin continues to conduct research on macroeconomic indicators and trade dynamics.
