Mücahit Çitil is a faculty member at Harran University, Siverek Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of International Trade and Logistics. He earned his Ph.D. in Development Economics and Economic Growth from Marmara University in 2020 with a dissertation titled Global Production Networks and the Logistics Sector: The Case of Turkey. He completed his M.A. in Economics at Dicle University (2016) and B.A. in Economics at Kafkas University (2012). Throughout his career, he has held academic positions as research assistant, lecturer, assistant professor, and eventually associate professor in 2025. His research focuses on international trade, logistics, green finance, sustainable development, and environmental economics. Dr. Çitil has published extensively in reputable international journals such as Renewable Energy, Sustainable Development, Energy Strategy Reviews, and Environmental Science and Pollution Research. He has contributed to several TÜBİTAK-funded projects and authored book chapters on topics including geopolitical risks, green logistics, and the effects of international trade on environmental and economic performance. In addition to his academic work, he has served in various administrative roles including Vice Dean, Education Coordinator, and Erasmus Coordinator. Known for his research on green investments and the interplay between trade, finance, and sustainability, Assoc. Prof. Mücahit Çitil is recognized as an influential scholar in the fields of economics and logistics, contributing significantly to both academic literature and regional development initiatives in Turkey.
