Hanan Amin-Salem is a Managing Director and Global Head of Sovereign Advisory at Citi. She served as First Deputy Minister of Finance in Egypt during 2014-2016 and was responsible for drafting the country's initial medium-term fiscal framework. Previously in her career, she managed the country risk function at a boutique energy consulting firm, worked as a sovereign advisor at JPMorgan, and as a Senior Analyst in the sovereign team at Moody's Ratings led the process to assign Egypt's first ever sovereign rating.
