Fatma Aly
Assistant Lecturer of Economics, Cairo University
Fatma Aly is a PhD student and Assistant Lecturer of Economics at Cairo University. She holds bachelor’s degrees in economics from both Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and Cairo University, as well as a master’s degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She is interested in research focusing on international trade and global value chains, with an emphasis on micro-level evidence. She is currently working on her PhD thesis examining how external shocks affect trade. Alongside her studies and research, Fatma also co-teaches several courses at Cairo University, including advanced macroeconomics, econometrics and mathematical economics at both the undergraduate and Master’s levels. She also serves as an administrative assistant at the French section of the Faculty of Economics and Political science, Cairo University.
