Fatma Mosaad is a Research Manager at J-PAL MENA (The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab), specializing in Labour Economics and Applied Econometrics. She holds a Master's degree in Economics from Cairo University, with dissertation work focused on labour market flexibility in Egypt. At J-PAL, she directs large-scale Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) investigating critical policy questions related to poverty alleviation, women's labour force participation, and gender equity. Fatma brings robust economic research experience from her previous roles at CAPMAS, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Egyptian Ministry of Planning, and her current research applies quasi-experimental methods to causally assess the impact of life events, such as childbirth, on women's agency.
