Esmat Kamel is a full-time associate professor at the Faculty of Management Sciences, Modern Sciences and Arts University (MSA) and the director of the Center for Business Excellence at Global Trade Matters. She holds an MA in economics and PhD from the Autónoma University of Madrid in Trade, Investments and Regional Integration in the MENA Region. Kamel joined as speaker and moderator in a series of conferences on trade themes at the Economic Research Conference at AUC, Euro-Conference – Porto 2016 and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. She also collaborated as a junior trade expert on the task force between E.U and Egypt on the Trade and Domestic Market Enhancement Program. She previously joined American University in Cairo as a senior research specialist and part of adjunct faculty. Her areas of interest are international trade, integration topics, foreign direct investments, financial inclusion, Global Value chains and trade in merchandise and services, economic modelling and data mining via various statistical software. Finally, Dr Kamel contributed in a number of policy reports among them post covid-19 MENA region trade flows in merchandise goods and services with Euromed institute.
