Hamza Meddeb is a research fellow at the Malcolm H. Kerr Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut, where he co-leads the Political Economy Program. His research focuses on the political economy of Tunisia and North Africa, comparative politics, and the development-security nexus. He is the co-author of The State of Injustice in the Maghreb: Morocco and Tunisia. Dr. Meddeb holds a PhD in political science from Sciences Po Paris, as well as Master’s degrees in comparative politics and in international economics from the University of Paris.
