Donatella Saccone is an Assistant Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Gastronomic Sciences (UNISG), specializing in sustainable economic development, food policies, and global food security. With a PhD in Economics from the University of Turin, she has served as Director of the Turin Center on Emerging Economies and consulted for organizations like the ILO and UNCTAD. At UNISG, Donatella leads the Graduate Degree Program in Sustainable Food Innovation & Management and contributes to interdisciplinary projects like STAPLES, focusing on food system resilience in the MENA region. Her work bridges academia and policy, addressing sustainability challenges in global agri-food systems.
